This document describes what personal data we collect when you use ManageEditors, what we use it for, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it.

2. What data we collect

Account data: your email and an encrypted version of your password. We never store passwords in plain text.
Workspace data: the workspace name and the emails of the editors you invite.
Your VODs: the video files the watcher uploads from your PC.
Upload metadata: filename, size, duration, date, and the tags and notes you add.
Payment data: handled entirely by our processor (see section 5). We only store a customer identifier and your subscription status — we never see card numbers or CVV.
Minimal technical data: IP and user-agent in server logs, for the reasonable time needed for security and diagnostics.

3. What we use it for

To provide the service you've subscribed to: uploading, listing, downloading, and managing your VODs and editors.
To enforce your plan limits (storage, retention, number of editors).
To charge the monthly subscription.
To send you essential notices: payment confirmation, invoice, failed charge, trial expiry, upcoming deletion of a VOD.
To detect abuse and keep the service secure.

What we do NOT do: we don't sell your data, we don't train AI models with your VODs, we don't track your activity outside the service, and we don't use marketing cookies or third-party analytics.

4. Legal basis

Performance of the contract (GDPR art. 6.1.b): for essential account, billing, and VOD data.
Legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6.1.f): for security logs and abuse prevention.
Legal obligation (GDPR art. 6.1.c): to retain billing records for the tax period.

5. Who we share your data with

We work with a small set of providers that act as data processors. They only access the data essential to provide their part of the service:

Category	What for
VOD storage (third-party cloud storage provider)	Your video files are stored in a private cloud storage bucket. They are only accessed via temporary signed URLs we generate for you and the editors you authorize.
Payment processing (Stripe)	Stripe handles the subscription, billing, and card data. It is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant.
Service hosting	The backend server resides on European infrastructure (Germany, EU).
Transactional email	Automatic service notices (magic links, invitations, payment alerts).

International transfers (where applicable) are carried out with appropriate safeguards: standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or other valid mechanisms. You can request the up-to-date list of subprocessors by writing to soporte@manageeditors.com.

6. How long we keep data

VODs: deleted automatically according to the subscribed plan (3 to 60 days from upload). After that period they are removed with no possibility of recovery.
Account: while your subscription is active, plus a reasonable period after cancellation to let you recover it.
Billing data: up to 6 years due to tax obligations (Spanish General Tax Law).
Security logs: only for the time strictly necessary for diagnostics and abuse prevention.

7. Your rights

As the data subject, you can exercise the following GDPR rights at any time:

Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you.
Rectification: correct it if it's wrong.
Erasure: delete your account and all associated data.
Restriction: ask us to stop processing it without deleting it entirely.
Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format.
Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interest.

To exercise them: soporte@manageeditors.com. We respond within a maximum of 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

8. Cookies

We only use strictly necessary technical cookies to keep your session logged in — they require no consent. We don't use marketing cookies, third-party analytics, or profiling.

9. Security

All communication with the service goes over HTTPS. Passwords are stored encrypted with industry-standard algorithms. VODs live in private storage and are only accessible via temporary signed URLs generated for authorized users.

If you discover a vulnerability, write to soporte@manageeditors.com with the subject "Security" — we appreciate responsible disclosure.

10. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll notify you by email at least 7 days in advance when the changes are material. The date in the header ("Last updated") reflects the current version.
